Rainbow Circus Picnic

We’re turning 5!

Come celebrate with us from 1-4pm on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, 2-5pm on Sunday, June 7th, in the North East Corner of Greenwood Park.

We will have snacks, crafts, face painting, and more!

Access notes:

The area we are meeting will be outdoors with limited shade and seating, please feel free to bring your own picnic blankets and lawn chairs, we will be near tree shade as well as picnic tables and there is a water park nearby for keeping cool.

Getting there:

Greenwood Park is very transit, bike, and driving accessible.

You can take the 506 streetcar, Alton Ave or Greenwood, the 31 Bus South from Pape Station, the 501 to Alton Ave, or a few other options.

There are bike lockup options in the park, and a few close-by bikeshare docks.

Parking is available near the park on a first-come, first-served basis. On the main roads (Greenwood, Gerrard, & Dundas) there is paid street parking available. On the smaller streets around the park, daytime parking is free as long as there are spots available.

Physical accessibility:

The Greenwood entrance is down a steep hill with a lot of stairs, if you enter the park from Alton Ave, there is a less steep downhill from Gerrard Street, or a flat sidewalk from Dundas. From the West side of the park, there is a mostly paved pathway to where we are meeting. We will be hosting the majority of the activities on the grassy area near the picnic tables. Which can be quite a soft surface sometimes.

Washrooms:

The park has two multi-stall, gendered washrooms near our meeting place; the washrooms have an accessible stall, but the entrance doors are manual. There is a city of Toronto building for the pool within a two-minute walk (still in the park) that has indoor bathrooms, including a family bathroom, with automatic doors.

Allergies:

There will be packaged and homemade snacks available at the picnic, we cannot guarantee that food and drinks will be free of allergens. There are also known to be bees and wasps in the area. If you use an epi pen please bring it with you.

Illness policy & masking:

Attendees are asked not to join us if they’re feeling unwell and mask up if they’re recovering from anything. The meeting area is outdoors in a large space with significant airflow. Those who feel more comfortable wearing masks or interacting at a distance are welcome to do so. We anticipate that the majority of our attendees will not be wearing masks.
